Small Business Pays it Forward

Lucky Small Business Can Win $30,000 IT Makeover

(Redwood City, CA) July 14, 2008: All Covered, the leading information technology (IT) services provider for small businesses, decided to “pay it forward” by doing something big or spectacular for another company with the hope that the recipient of the kind gesture would then do a good deed for another company and so on and so on.

All Covered started in late 1998 with one office and 25 employees, in Redwood City, California and 10 years later has over 300 employees and 20 offices across the U.S. As the company entered its 10 year anniversary, the idea to pay it forward or to provide a “random act of kindness” came in the form of an Xtreme IT Makeover Contest. All Covered worked with its vendors and partners to secure goods and services to help a deserving small business or non-profit organization makeover its information technology environment. The grand prize winner will get a new server, desktop and laptop computers, firewall, LCD projector, laser printer, anti-virus and anti-spam software, server backup and recovery services, operating system and productivity software, installation and on-going support services and more. The total value of hardware, software and services exceeds $30,000.

“We have supported thousands of small businesses over the last ten years and we know that these economic times can be difficult. We wanted to find a way to give back to our community,” said Tim Mott, CEO of All Covered. “Upgrading or enhancing IT is usually at the bottom of the priority list, yet the right technology can help a business be more productive and more efficient. We would like to help change the future of a small business or non-profit organization with this IT makeover. In turn, they may be able to do the same for another company in the future through their products or services.”

The Xtreme IT Makeover contest runs through September 30, 2008. Three finalists will be selected from all eligible entries and the grand prize winner will be announced in October. Gold sponsors of the contest include Microsoft, Dell, Symantec, Iron Mountain and InFocus. HP and SonicWALL are silver sponsors.

A list of prizes and the complete contest rules can be found on All Covered’s website at www.allcovered.com/xtreme.
